How we test our bikes: in the lab and on the streets of San Francisco

Every day, thousands of riders depend on bikeshare bikes to get where they're going and those bikes need to hold up through sun, rain, salt, and everything a city can throw at them. At Lyft Urban Solutions, ensuring long-term reliability means combining advanced lab testing with real-world validation on the streets of San Francisco. Each bike is engineered to go beyond industry standards, delivering safe, consistent, and reliable performance for both riders and operators.
