Lyft Urban Solutions introduces the next generation of bikeshare with new electric and pedal bikes

Lyft Urban Solutions is proud to unveil its next-generation fleet, featuring an all-new electric bike and a reimagined pedal bike. Each vehicle is purposefully designed to offer a best-in-class rider experience, perfectly suited for bikeshare systems with charging station networks, and offering the flexibility for both in-dock and out-of-station parking. The new bikes perfectly complement our Pillar stations, which can charge ebikes for optimal availability, and deploy in modular fashion for docking in dense urban streets.

From tackling steep inclines on your daily commute without the need to change gears to enjoying a leisurely ride through city streets, these bikes are engineered to make every journey smoother, safer and more flexible. Their responsive handling, comfortable form factor, and integrated safety features provide riders with confidence and control for any trip or exploration, making city travel a true pleasure.

Designed to perform in cities equipped with charging station networks, as well as accommodate a variety of parking approaches, our newest electric bike is compact, agile and packed with smart features. 

• Fully connected ride: Riders can unlock bikes with either the app or a transit card, while a built-in LCD screen keeps them updated in real time. For operators, this connectivity translates to remarkable efficiency, with built-in diagnostics and real-time failure detection simplifying maintenance processes. 
• Seamless pedal-assist: Feel the difference with every turn of the pedals. Our ebike’s adaptive e-assist technology delivers smooth, punchy acceleration that adjusts automatically to terrain and rider behavior. No gears, no hassle, just a fluid and effortless ride. Looking for a classic pedal bike? E-assist can also mimic the pedal bike experience when only ebikes are available, ensuring consistent fare flexibility.
• Flexible parking capability: Whether for a mid-trip pause or for overflow or virtual station parking, riders can lock the ebike outside of docked stations. The built-in rear-wheel immobilization activates automatically, no bulky cable locks necessary.
• Built for visibility and safety: Our ebike keeps riders safe and seen. Reflective paint, a bright beacon, and responsive braking come together to deliver high visibility and confident stopping power in all conditions.
• Charge-first design: With its 70 km range battery and seamless in-dock charging via our Pillar Charging Docks, the e-bike is ideal for systems with charging station networks. This guarantees dependable power and boosts operational efficiency to meet the growing demand for electric bikeshare.
