New bikeshare system along Miami-Dade County’s iconic The Underline

A brand-new pedal bikeshare system is now available along The Underline, Miami-Dade county’s iconic 10-mile public trail beneath the Metrorail (Miami’s elevated rapid transit system). Operated by Deco Bike Miami LLC, and sponsored by Inter, the Inter Bike system features 125 pedal bikes and 10 stations at full deployment. Fully integrated with the Lyft Urban Solutions rider app, the system offers a seamless user experience where riders can easily locate, unlock, and enjoy their bikes with just a few taps.This proven platform powers other successful bikeshare networks globally.

Highlights from Smart City Expo 2025 in Barcelona

For the eighth consecutive year, our team headed to Barcelona for the Smart City Expo World Congress. It's always meaningful to be in the city where we launched our very first system in Spain, and this year's conversations and connections were especially energizing. Lyft Urban Solutions at the POLIS Network Conference

Our team was thrilled to attend the POLIS Network Conference in Utrecht, where we had the opportunity to share a 5-minute pitch highlighting our latest product updates and growing global footprint. We also had the chance to meet new colleagues from FREENOW, the mobility provider that recently joined the Lyft family.

The POLIS Cities in Motion magazine also featured an interview with Michael Brous, Head of Lyft Urban Solutions, highlighting his role and background in the micromobility industry, along with insights on our recent system launches, European expansion, electrification, and our new bike models.

  • 🇺🇸 We’ve kicked off our Citi Bike expansion in New York City, deploying 250 new stations and 2,900 additional bikes, with about half of them being ebikes. This rollout introduces our Lyft Pillar dock, designed for reliability and modularity. With this expansion, Citi Bike will grow to over 36,000 bikes and 2,400 stations—nearly seven times its original 2013 footprint
  • 🇨🇦 The àVélo bikeshare system in Québec City closed its fifth season with record-breaking results, reaching nearly two million rides, a new all-time high. The network will continue to grow in 2026, expanding to 225 stations and 2,300 bikes across new areas of the city.
  • 🇨🇦 BIXI Montréal has surpassed 100 million trips since its launch in 2009, a historic milestone for year-round bikeshare in the Québec region. This year also marked a major expansion for BIXI, with launches in four new cities and the introduction of its innovative BIXI trailer.
